Highlights

  • Nairobi City - often dubbed the "Safari Capital of Africa," is a vibrant city offering a unique blend of urban life and incredible wildlife experiences - where skyscrapers meet wildlife and vibrant culture thrives alongside natural beauty.
  • Kimana Sanctuary - Kimana Sanctuary's most significant ecological role is its function as a crucial wildlife corridor. It provides the primary link for animals, especially large elephant herds, to move between Amboseli National Park to the west, and the Chyulu Hills and Tsavo West National Park to the east. This corridor is essential for maintaining genetic diversity and ensuring the long-term survival of wildlife populations in the larger Amboseli ecosystem.
  • Lewa Conservancy - Lewa is a global stronghold for the critically endangered black rhino. It holds a significant portion of Kenya's black rhino population, and seeing these magnificent, prehistoric-looking creatures is a guaranteed highlight. Their protection is at the core of Lewa's mission, and you'll often see them in a safe and thriving environment
  • Maasai Mara - a vast wilderness that is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem in Tanzania. It is renowned for its abundant wildlife, sweeping savannahs, and the unique culture of the Maasai people.

Itinerary: 9 Days Best of Africa Safari

Expand All Days

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will clear with customs and immigration procedures. After obtaining necessary clearances, you will be met by our driver guide who will transfer you to your city hotel. Nairobi is the original safari capital of Africa and is also home to Nairobi National Park. The only park within a city.
Drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park and your tented safari camp beneath Mount Kilimanjaro. The elephant population is prolific here. Amid acacia woodland, scrub brush, freshwater swamps and open plains, watch for buffalo, hippos and waterfowl. Embark on exciting morning and afternoon game drives, keeping watch for lions and cheetahs as they prepare to hunt. Then, from atop the perch of prehistoric Observation Hill, witness the grasslands and mighty mountain shift colors at sunset.
Board a flight to the Laikipia Plateau and continue to your private wildlife conservancy. On arrival, you will be transferred to Sirikoi Camp, settle in, and then take to the bush for an afternoon game drive. The next day, enjoy a morning game drive highlighted by an up-close visit with the world’s last three northern white rhinos in their heavily guarded enclosure. This afternoon, set out on a bush walk, perhaps sighting a reticulated giraffe or Besia oryx. Optional activities (each at an additional cost) include a visit with the conservancy’s anti-poaching dog unit and a night game drive.
Spend three full days exploring the open savanna, woodlands and tree-fringed rivers of the Masai Mara, where patience is rewarded with unique sightings: leopards, who retrieve kills from acacia branches high above, or elephants protecting their young from opportunistic lions. Game viewing is never dull in the Mara, especially when the dramatic annual Great Migration unfolds. Amid the stunning scenery, watch as Maasai tribesmen traverse the plains or herd goats and cattle. During one of your mornings here, enjoy another opportunity for an optional hot air balloon ride over the sprawling Mara.
On the final day of your Premier Safari there will be time for a leisurely breakfast before your flight to Nairobi, Wilson Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
