Your Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi / overnight

Touching down in Nairobi, your driver will be waiting to meet and assist and drive you in a private vehicle to the Nairobi Serena a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. This elegantly sophisticated Hotel stands amidst lush tropical gardens with panoramic views of Nairobi’s Central Park and the glittering towers of downtown Nairobi. The tranquil setting belies its location – just moments from most of the city attractions, including art and cultural institutions, shopping, nightlife, and entertainment. Guest will enjoy the exceptional standards of accommodation, fine cuisine and the state of the art health club. Meal plan is bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Our destination today is the jewel in Africa's crown, the Mara host to the most spectacular array of wildlife, which are constantly changing as the plains game follows ancient migration routes under the watchful eyes of the lion, leopard and cheetah that prey on the vulnerable. We stop at the Mara Sarova for lunch and later enjoy a game drive en route to the Lodge. Three nights will be at Mara Serena lodge which has been designed to mirror a traditional Masai village with the guest rooms located in individually domed huts grouped in a circular manner. Each room has a private balcony with views that stretch over the vast Africa landscape. We will arrive in the late afternoon Meal plan is full board.

Day 3&4: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Have amazing morning and late afternoon game drives or alternatively depart with picnic boxes after breakfast for a full day game drive. Our expert driver guide is a seasoned-professional and has an amazing eye for finding the animals, birds and reptiles for which the Masai Mara is so justifiably famous. Your guide will explain the animal behavior – and because of his expertise and experience, will take you to the best locations for the season to maximize your safari experience. Return to the Lodge for a well deserved rest and overnight. Meal plan is full board. There other activities that can be booked on request.
A balloon safari is an exciting way to see the Mara. Float gently over the plains with a bird's eye view of the game below as the sun rises slowly over the horizon. After around one hour the balloon lands and nearby a full breakfast is served in the middle of the bush with glasses of bubbly to toast your flight!
You can perhaps try an adventure to Lake Victoria. Take an early flight by light aircraft to the lake. Try fishing for the legendary giant Nile perch found in these waters as you explore the myriad of tiny islands. Stop and visit a traditional fishing village before flying back to the Masai Mara. Day 5: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we depart with picnic boxes for the border town of Isebania and after clearing immigration formalities change driver and vehicle and cross the border for the journey to Serengeti National Park undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and has the greatest concentration of plains game anywhere!
Our destination is a uniquely mobile luxury Lemala Mara North Camp strategically positioned on a rocky outcrop overlooking the northern Serengeti toward the close-by Mara River for unmatched viewing of the Great Migration from June through the October. This prime location affords you the opportunity to witness the Great Migration river crossings without large crowds of other visitors. You will enjoy a game drive followed by cocktails and an elegant candle-lit dinner. Meal plan is full board.

Day 6&7: Serengeti National Park

We awaken to the sounds of the African bush. You will spend the rest of the day exploring the depths of the Serengeti during with morning and afternoon game drives. We return to the Lodge in the late afternoon for a welcome rest and fine cuisine. Meal plan is full board.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast and with picnic boxes we visit Olduvai Gorge and learn about the 1.8 million-year-old fossil discoveries of Louis and Mary Leakey which forever changed our view of early man. Continue your journey to Ngorongoro the largest intact caldera in the world and our home tonight is Ngorongoro Serena perched on the jagged rim of the world’s oldest caldera. Created from river-stone and cloaked in indigenous creepers, this superlative lodge blends effortlessly into its surrounds. In the later afternoon we check into the Lodge for dinner and a welcome rest. Meal plan is full board.

Day 9: Descend to the Crater / Drive to Lake Manyara

This morning descend into the Crater which truly offers an absolutely unique environment for wildlife viewing. It is one of the few places in Africa where you stand a very good chance of seeing the Big Five in the course of a game drive. We then continue on to Lake Manyara National Park a beautiful and incredibly diverse park for its size (only 325 square kilometers/125 square miles) and offering a varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views. The park is well known for its tree-climbing lions, the only kind of their species in the world who make the ancient mahogany and elegant acacias their home during the rainy season. The park is also home to the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world.
Our home tonight is Lake Manyara Serena Lodge perched on the edge of an escarpment. The spacious balcony guestrooms of the offer unforgettable views over the Great Rift Valley and stunning Lake Manyara, home to thousands of pink flamingoes. We will arrive in the late afternoon for dinner and a welcome rest.

Day 10: Lake Manyara / Depart for Nairobi

Depart for an early morning game drive to the Park in search for the rare tree-climbing lions! The park is also famous for its elephant, huge number of baboons and due to its varied landscape has an impressive range of other game including wildebeest, buffalo, hippo, flamingo, zebra, warthog, waterbuck, dik-dik and impala. The birding here is very good, especially raptors. We return to the Lodge for breakfast and enjoy a scenic drive to the border town of Namanga where you will stop to clear customs and immigration formalities. If time permits enjoy dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant and later your driver will drop you off at the international airport for your onward journey.
